Building A Foundation of Knowledge

Going to college is about more than preparing yourself for success in the professional world. It’s also about understanding the world around you and how it works.

At Utica College, you’ll experience the best of both worlds. Unlike many other schools, UC is a comprehensive college that combines cutting-edge professional education with liberal arts. That means that whatever major you decide on, you will gain a "core" of vital knowledge that provides a foundation for advanced learning in your chosen field and beyond.

What is the Core Program?

Core provides a common experience for students that complements their major. Our Core program offers opportunities through experiences in the classroom and co-curricular activities to support the learning and practice of 5 key intellectual skills that are crucial to success.
