Dick Morrill is an uncommonly gifted figurative artist and an American Art Legend. Morrill’s ‘larger than life’ portraits reveal visions of individual and social realities through personal and political themes while looking at humanity with a kind of avid amazement. Narrative, portrait and bas relief forms engage large spaces and surfaces creating bold presentations. Morrill attended art schools in Boston and New York followed by a career in advertising design and visual arts - including teaching at Pratt, Parsons and SUNY while also directing a number of student programs abroad. Faculty and students are sure to enjoy lively art conversation during the artist reception.
