Steiger’s inspirations by different people, cultures, beliefs and places across the world evolve into painted and collaged images with thematic connections as well as works inspired by patterns reflective of memories in major life shifts. Steiger believes life experiences enter into things you create. Travels into Europe, Asia, Australia and living in Japan bring translations of observation and perceptions into her personal visual language. Energetic works of art borrow from native culture elements as well as cellular patterns with inclusions of her own original elements.
