Biography
Dr. Frederick Tehan, visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry, is returning to teaching after a successful career in the retail industry. Fred received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Michigan State University and B.S. in Chemistry from LeMoyne College. He enjoys the Adirondacks and fishing with his sons, Michael and Richard. He and his wife, Kathy, live in Marcy, NY and have 3 children and 2 Boston Terriers.
"I got a chance to do hands-on research, which really helped when I applied to graduate schools. I was more prepared, compared to students from larger colleges, because we had more one-on-one instruction and a chance to do more hands-on work with the instrumentation."
